Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade, duplication study
The Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade Duplication Study will investigate the long-term infrastructure and operational needs of the North Coast Line.
The department in partnership with the Australian Government, is progressing planning for the Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade Duplication Study.
This study will review the future demand on the North Coast Line between Beerburrum and Nambour, as well as consider services between Nambour and Gympie North. It will assess options to improve operations, efficiency, accessibility to rail services and meet future freight needs. It will also refine plans for future stages of the Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade Project beyond Stage 1.
