Cooroy intersection improvements
The Queensland Government is committed to improving safety, traffic flow, and active transport options at the intersections of Diamond and Elm Streets and Myall and Elm Streets in Cooroy.
Planning is currently underway to prepare a business case for future upgrades, building on preliminary work conducted in 2019.

The planning will investigate upgrades that:
- manage congestion and improve traffic flow during peak periods
- improve safety for all road users
- enhance active transport provisions for pedestrians and bike riders.
Current status
Current investigations will build on previous preliminary planning and will include community feedback received during consultation in 2019. Options assessment will be undertaken to identify a preferred option to improve network efficiency and safety for all road users.
