D'Aguilar Highway (Yarraman – Kingaroy), various locations, improve safety

The Queensland Government has improved safety and traffic efficiency on 24km of the D’Aguilar Highway between Nanango and Kingaroy.

The project has improved separation of through and turning traffic with wide centre line treatments and intersection improvements. The upgrades have also improved road conditions through pavement strengthening and road realignment.

Upgrades within Kingaroy
  • Turning lanes to improve safety and traffic flow with better separation of through and turning traffic.
Upgrades between Nanango and Kingaroy
  • Wide centre line treatments to provide greater separation between motorists travelling in opposite directions.
  • Dedicated right turning lanes at several intersections to separate turning and through traffic.
  • Audio tactile line marking on the road edge and centre line marking to alert motorists through both sound and vibration when they veer out of their lane.
  • Pavement reconstruction to reduce ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation needs.
  • Road realignment between Bushnells Road and Parsons Road to provide a smoother journey.

Funding

The projects are fully funded by the Queensland Government under the Targeted Road Safety Program and State Road Network Upgrade program as published in the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program 2025-26 to 2028-29.
