Gatton–Esk Road, flood resilience, planning
Planning is underway to improve flood immunity of Gatton–Esk Road at Lockyer Creek.
The Queensland Government is investigating ways to improve connectivity for communities north of Lockyer Creek on Gatton–Esk Road, between the Warrego Highway and Millers Road, particularly during wet weather events.
The project will also improve safety and efficiency to meet expected transport demand from local and regional development.
This delivers on our commitment to provide an efficient, integrated and productive road network that connects Queenslanders and supports prosperity, economic growth, regional development, and liveable and safe communities.
Local residents, business and property owners, and the community are encouraged to learn more about the project and have their say during the planning process.
