Targeted road safety improvements on Goodwood Road will improve the safety of several intersections in Bundaberg and Kinkuna.
Construction is underway to enhance safety at 3 key intersections along Goodwood Road in Bundaberg. This project is focused on reducing the risk of fatal and serious injury crashes at these locations.
The planned upgrades at Thabeban Street, McCarthy Road and Coonarr Road aim to improve safety for persons driving, motorcyclists, bicycle riders, pedestrians and those using a mobility aid such as a wheelchair.

Key features
- Traffic lights at the Goodwood Road and McCarthy Road intersection and the Goodwood Road and Thabeban Street intersection.
- A left turn only provision into Dunn Road due to its proximity to the proposed traffic signals. Local traffic on Dunn Road will be able to access Goodwood Road via nearby intersections at Sims Road and Avenell Street.
