Integrated Road and Public Transport Plan for Western Brisbane
We’re developing a new transport plan for western Brisbane to address traffic congestion, ensure public transport is accessible and reliable, and improve pedestrian and cyclist safety.
Brisbane’s west faces some significant transport challenges, such as reliance on a single arterial connection, Moggill Road. It is also constrained by surrounding natural barriers like the Brisbane River, Mount Coot-tha, Enoggera Forest Reserve and D’Aguilar National Park.
Our Integrated Road and Public Transport Plan for Western Brisbane will investigate these challenges and identify opportunities to improve the area’s transport network, so people spend less time in congestion and more time with their families in the outer west.
The study area for the plan includes all suburbs from Kenmore and Chapel Hill, south to Moggill and west to Kholo and Upper Brookfield, and will also consider the transport network in adjacent areas.
We want community input for the plan, including your experiences using the transport network, and your ideas and priorities for how it could be improved in the future.
