Isis Highway (Bundaberg – Childers), various locations, improve safety
The Queensland Government is undertaking a series of safety improvements along a 40km stretch of the Isis Highway from Airport Drive to the Bruce Highway.
The Queensland Government is improving safety on the Isis Highway between Wyper Park and Willdora Drive.
The Isis Highway is a key link between Bundaberg and the Childers community.as well as the Bruce Highway.
Safety improvements are being undertaken along the highway, between Wyper Park and Willdora Drive, as part of the Targeted Road Safety Program (TRSP). These low-cost, high-benefit upgrades will improve safety by separating through and turning traffic on the Isis Highway and reducing the likelihood of off-road and head-on type crashes through road widening.
Works will include the re-alignment of utilities along the Isis Highway in this location before progressing road widening, a wide centre line treatment, and the construction of a dedicated turn lane at the Isis Highway and Walkers Road intersection.
The Queensland Government has allocated funding through the Targeted Road Safety Program (TRSP) to deliver the upgrades.
