Active transport connections for Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail
The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project will deliver new active transport infrastructure between Kuraby and Beenleigh.
Safer and more accessible connections for pedestrians and bicycle riders will help make travelling to public transport easier for our growing communities.
Key features
- approximately 14km of new active transport infrastructure, together with use of 4km of existing on-road infrastructure
- improved walking and cycling connections to upgraded stations
- better connections to existing pedestrian and bicycle networks and other local destinations within station precincts
- new pedestrian crossings at stations
- new active transport bridge over the Logan River
- secure bicycle enclosures at every train station.
The updated design has a greater focus on local walking and cycling connections to stations, while continuing to deliver new segments of the Principal Cycle Network (PCN) and improved links to the existing transport infrastructure.
