Cunningham Highway (Ipswich–Warwick), Ipswich-Rosewood Road intersection, planning
Detailed planning is progressing for an interim safety upgrade and long-term solution for the Cunningham Highway and Ipswich–Rosewood Road intersection in Amberley.
The Queensland Government is upgrading the intersection of Toowoomba–Cecil Plains, Deuble, and Heinemann roads to meet future transport needs.
Toowoomba–Cecil Plains Road travels west from Toowoomba’s CBD past the Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport, before joining Dalby–Cecil Plains Road at Cecil Plains.
There are major residential and industrial developments happening and planned in the Wellcamp area, west of Toowoomba which are expected to increase traffic on Toowoomba–Cecil Plains Road.
The project aims to find ways to improve the intersection to help with future growth, enhance road safety, lessen local impacts, and generate local benefits.
Planning also aims to preserve Toowoomba–Cecil Plains Road as a key transport link between Toowoomba and Cecil Plains.
This project is funded under the Queensland Government’s Transport System Planning Project.
This project is currently in the planning stage and the first round of community consultation has closed. To provide feedback or for further information about the project, please contact us.
