Annual reviews of maintenance dredging of Queensland ports

The Maintenance Dredging Strategy for Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area Ports requires Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area ports to publish a publicly available report on all maintenance dredging activities annually.

The Queensland Ports Association, the peak industry body representing all Queensland port authorities, prepares the annual review of the outcomes of the maintenance dredging program. This includes environmental performance, timelines, volumes, evaluation of dredged material placement options and locations, and outcomes of monitoring.

The results of the annual review are incorporated into the dredging schedule for the following year.
