Pacific Motorway M1 Interchange upgrades

The Pacific Motorway M1 is one of South East Queensland’s busiest transport corridors, supporting commuter, freight and local traffic movements.

Ongoing industrial and residential growth in the northern Gold Coast is increasing pressure on several M1 interchanges, particularly around the Yatala, Ormeau and Pimpama areas.

The Queensland Government is progressing short and longer-term upgrades to improve safety, traffic flow and access at key M1 interchanges, including:

  • Exit 38 (Yatala North)—Business case approved in November 2018
  • Exit 41 (Yatala South)—Completed
  • Exit 45 (Ormeau), southbound off-ramp improvements—Completed
  • Exit 45 (Ormeau)—In design
  • Exit 49 (Pimpama)—Completed
  • Exit 54 (Coomera)—Planning
  • Exit 82 (Robina)—Planning
