TLI Connect—About us
The TLI (Transport and Logistics Industry) Connect team within the department assists employers through government and industry partnerships, to retain existing employees, attract new employees and identify skilling opportunities.
TLI Connect is guided by the Transport and Logistics Workforce Advisory Committee (TLWAC), a group of representatives from industry associations, industry organisations and the department.
The transport and logistics industry is a key enabler to the growth of Queensland's economy. It supports the movement of people and freight, underpinning the state's economic growth.
We recognise that working with, listening to and supporting people in industry is vital—as an available, highly skilled workforce is essential to deliver on Queensland's transport potential.
Queensland Transport and Logistics Workforce Strategy and Action Plan
The Queensland Transport and Logistics Workforce Strategy and Action Plan 2025–2028 aims to ensure a skilled, sustainable and supported workforce into the future.
Co-designed with industry and the Transport and Logistics Workforce Advisory Committee, actions to address workforce challenges fall under 3 focus areas:
- Promote transport and logistics as an excellent career choice, where individuals can build successful, purpose-driven and fulfilling careers.
- Optimise engagement with current and potential employees to maintain a skilled, motivated and available workforce.
- Link with specialists to increase the visibility, availability and accessibility of transport and logistics entry pathways for a wide range of job seekers.

Queensland Transport and Logistics Workforce Marketing Strategy
In response to Strategy 1: Promoting the attractiveness of the transport and logistics industry, a workforce marketing strategy has been co-developed with industry. The Queensland Transport and Logistics Workforce Marketing Strategy outlines ways to inspire young people and all job seekers to choose a career in transport and logistics.
