Pacific Motorway, Eight Mile Plains to Daisy Hill Upgrade
Work is now complete on the Pacific Motorway, Eight Mile Plains to Daisy Hill Upgrade, which has improved 8kms of the Pacific Motorway (M1) between the Gateway Motorway and Watland Street.
This project was the second stage of the Pacific Motorway M1 North upgrade program.
The Eight Mile Plains to Daisy Hill Upgrade was delivered in 4 separate construction packages:
- Package 1 – Sports Drive to Gateway Motorway.
- Package 2 – Pacific Highway early works.
- Package 3 – Watland Street to Sports Drive.
- Package 4 – Rochedale bus station and park 'n' ride.

Key features

- New bus station and park 'n' ride at Rochedale.
- Extended of the V1 Veloway cycleway to the west of the M1 from the Gateway Motorway to Watland Street.
Funding
The project was jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments. $750 million – Stage 2: Pacific Motorway, Eight Mile Plains to Daisy Hill, as published in the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program 2024-25 to 2027-28.

The construction packages were completed in:
