Incorrect inspection certificates and reports
If an approved examiner creates a failed inspection report that includes incorrect details, or should have been a passed inspection:
- A new inspection report must be created for the vehicle with the correct details in Inspection Certificates Online (ICO).
- The incorrect inspection will remain in ICO as a failed inspection and will automatically be closed in 14 days.
- If the incorrect inspection report has been issued to the customer by the AIS, the customer must be advised that the inspection report is invalid and should be destroyed or returned to the AIS.
If an approval holder approves an inspection that includes incorrect details, or approves a passed inspection that should have been failed, the certificate must be cancelled. Inspection certificates must not be cancelled for any other reason.
